Band of Gold are Scotland's best* 80's themed wedding band. Formed in 2010 after Evan offered to play at a friend's wedding, the 5 friends got together and decided to play the only music guaranteed to get everyone dancing; 80's pop.

Incorporating a couple of oldies for the Oldies, and a couple of new ones for the Youngsters, our set list has been refined over the last few years to try to make sure you and your guests have the most fun possible. Whether it's a wedding, birthday, corporate function, or any other event that needs music, Band of Gold make sure you have a great time. Or, have at least one moment of "God, I've not heard this in AAAAAGES! I LOVE THIS TUNE!"

There are 5 members of the band: Chris, Evan, Graham, Justin, and Keith - check out our MEET US section to find out more - and though we know 80s pop may not be to everybody's taste, we pride ourselves on being the best at what we do. If you want to be whisked back to the days of Kevin Bacon teaching a small community the power of understanding through the medium of dance, we're the boys for you. But don't listen to us, listen to the words of this lot:

"Band of Gold are guaranteed to get your guests dancing - and most probably singing along - as they belt out all the best tunes from the 80s. [They] really aim to create a fun atmosphere... and never forget it's a special day so pull out all the stops!"

- Tie The Knot Scotland (Formerly The Best Scottish Weddings) Magazine, Autumn 2011

We provide up to three hours of music which can be split throughout the evening in any way that suits your schedule. We can learn that special song for your first dance or indeed play the original artist's version from mp3 if that is preferable. We provide all our own backline, we can call 3 or 4 classic ceilidh dances and play the music via our laptop (though we can't guarantee we'll get the steps right!), and generally we'll just try to make the build up and the night as stress-free as possible. Your job is just to have fun. And you will.
